Description
Your Responsibilities
- Design standard and customized products;
- Evaluate and respect established budgets;
- Follow quality procedures related to product design and engineering;
- Select materials and components according to application;
- Promote a high level of quality within the department;
- Maintain standard documents;
- Participate in product testing and installation for assigned projects when required;
- Provide technical support to other departments;
- Manage special projects as requested by the sales group;
- Document projects according to department procedures;
- Maintain a problem-solving focused attitude.
Education + Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or other relevant program/experience.
- 2-5 years of relevant product design experience;
- 1-2 years' experience in the lighting industry or related industry (asset).
Qualifications Required
- SolidWork proficiency;
- Thoroughly bilingual (spoken and written French and English). The position holder will be required to interact daily with international colleagues, clients, and partners who do not speak French;
- Ability to organize and manage a multitude of priorities and tasks - results-oriented;
- Communication and negotiation skills, autonomy, availability, initiative, and organizational skills;
- Innovative and creative;
- Be a good team player and open to change;
