Designer industriel

Your Responsibilities

• Design standard and customized products;
• Evaluate and respect established budgets;
• Follow quality procedures related to product design and engineering;
• Select materials and components according to application;
• Promote a high level of quality within the department;
• Maintain standard documents;
• Participate in product testing and installation for assigned projects when required;
• Provide technical support to other departments;
• Manage special projects as requested by the sales group;
• Document projects according to department procedures;
• Maintain a problem-solving focused attitude.

Education + Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or other relevant program/experience.
• 2-5 years of relevant product design experience;
• 1-2 years' experience in the lighting industry or related industry (asset).

Qualifications Required

• SolidWork proficiency;
• Thoroughly bilingual (spoken and written French and English). The position holder will be required to interact daily with international colleagues, clients, and partners who do not speak French;
• Ability to organize and manage a multitude of priorities and tasks - results-oriented;
• Communication and negotiation skills, autonomy, availability, initiative, and organizational skills;
• Innovative and creative;
• Be a good team player and open to change;
