The curb appeal of a storied retail icon in Boston gets a façade-lift through a new lighting design that uses Lumenpulse Lumenfacade Nano and Lumenbeam luminaires.
There should be a cliché that says, "First looks should be worth a thousand words." In retail, looks are everything, and so it goes for large retail malls. A good looking approach, the look of a building from afar, fill potential customers with potential and creates a small magnetic force through its aesthetics. While architecture and location play a huge factor in this type of curb appeal, lighting design is the icing on the cake.
To up the curb appeal of the CambridgeSide Galleria in Massachusetts, Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design used strategically placed Lumenpulse Lumenbeam and Lumenfacade Nano to highlight and enrich the look of this popular mall.
The luminaires were easily hidden in coves, on lintels, and other architectural elements to keep them from the eyes of passersby while still provide precision illumination where it was planned for and needed. The luminaires provide uplighting, spotlighting, and façade lighting across the crown, in the main doorway, and the general façade. Of note, is the use of Lumenfacade Nano luminaires which are known for their low-profile/high-output ability to go anywhere and place light exactly where it is needed most.
What better way to say "come take a look" than a well-lit architecture in the night? The lighting design not only creates a refreshed, intriguing new look to the architecture, it is also inviting and enhances the urge to visit.
