Note: Lumenpulse offers the opportunity for certain positions to telework. In some cases, this option is grouped with alternating in-house days. SPOTLIGHT ON YOUR NEW ROLE  

 

Under the supervision of the Director, Financial Reporting, Taxation, Treasury, the candidate will be given the opportunity to handle a wide range of responsibilities that include:

 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Assessing the suitability and effectiveness of internal management systems and the performance of departments in implementing rules, procedures, and processes by reference to the risks associated with them. 
  • Validating compliance of NI52-109 and of administrative procedures; revising internal rules and regulations, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Assists with the planning, organization and carry out the internal controls function including the preparation of an audit manual and audit plan.
  • Conduct risk assessment of all departments.
  • Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and engage in continuous education and staff development regarding best practices.

Facilitates efficient operations by studying internal business processes; focus on process improvement and efficiency; works closely with all business units and management information systems

  • Work with employees at all levels of the organization to identify potential business process improvement projects.
  • Identify and document best practices to ensure continuous project and process improvements.
  • Help develop the policies & guidelines that make up the controls and then work with department heads in accounting and other areas to ensure enforcement and compliance of the policies.
  • Process mapping and documentation: maintaining key documents that contain policies, procedures and practices that govern the operation and conduct of Purchase of the company and its employees. These documents are an integral part of the internal control and administrative system that governs the operation of individual departments.
  • Assisting in the preparation of a statement of policies and standards to be distributed to all departments with which they are expected to comply.
  • Implement education and training to ensure employees have adequate awareness and understanding of internal control standards.
  • Assess compliance with NI 52-109.General Data Protection Regulation  (GDPR) compliance

 

YOUR HIGHLIGHTS 

 

Education + Experience Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years' experience
  • Additional experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and tasks
  • Experience with a fully integrated system (ERP), preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX, an asset
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal and external personnel, strong team player
  • Customer service excellence is part of your priorities and values
