Lumenpulse Sponsors Cégep du Vieux-Montréal’s Ecodesign Contest

Lighting Manufacturer Celebrates Students’ Innovative Spirits and Industrial Design

Lumenpulse, a leading innovator and manufacturer of high-performance, architectural LED-based lighting solutions, has sponsored the first edition of "Éco-design", an industrial design competition organized by La Fondation du Cégep du Vieux Montréal.

The first edition of the competition takes place in the Fall 2021 semester as part of the Creative Exploration course offered to first-year Industrial Design students. This course requires the creation of a dual-purpose lighting product whose shade will be made of recycled plastic, the materials having been recovered, recycled, and transformed by the Cégep's new workshop.

"Lumenpulse has always valued innovation and technology as a part of our design philosophy," said Francois-Xavier Souvay, Founder, President and CEO of Lumenpulse. "We are proud to encourage the future design generation to conceptualize lighting, promote creativity and all the while, upcycling plastics and other products."

The students' creations will be evaluated by jury members and representatives of partner companies and prizes will be awarded on December 17 during the contest's vernissage.
