Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer
François-Xavier Souvay is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumenpulse. In this capacity, he oversees global vision, corporate development and strategic planning, maintaining Lumenpulse's reputation for innovation and customer experience excellence.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mr. Souvay has over 25 years of experience in the lighting industry. By age 23, he was already contributing to large commercial real estate projects in Montreal, and soon was recruited by a specification grade outdoor lighting company, where he established a network of agents and VARs in Canada and the United States. Leveraging this experience, he then acted as a consultant for various lighting companies across North America.
In 1999, he acquired Luxtec, a value-added reseller of diversified specification-grade lighting solutions, and was soon spearheading LED research and development. Focused on combining innovative technology expertise with strong industrial design, he founded Lumenpulse in 2006. The company has since established itself as the leading pure-play specification-grade LED lighting solution provider.
Mr. Souvay holds numerous patents in his name and is a well-known thought leader in the LED lighting industry. In 2015, He was awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Quebec.
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer
In addition to his role as CFO of LMPG, Inc., Mr. Timotheatos is also the Chief Operating Officer of Lumenpulse, overseeing the brand's operating activities directly. Since joining Lumenpulse in 2014, he has provided strategic operational support to various areas of the business leading to his appointment as COO in 2020.
Prior to his role as the CFO/COO Lumenpulse, he held the role of Senior Vice President Financial Planning, Analysis and Results, managing the group's FP&A group and External Financial Reporting. Prior to joining LMPG, Mr. Timotheatos was the Chief Financial Officer of JLD-Lague, an independent John Deere dealership group. Additionally, he served as Director, Corporate Development and Planning from 2008 to 2010, then as Vice President, Finance until his appoint in 2012 Chief Financial Officer at Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. Prior to his time at Aveos he held the role of Chief Financial Officer at BCE Elix (a Bell Canada Company) from 2004 to 2007. In addition to his CPA, CA designation, he also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and previously held a Chartered Business Valuator designation (CBV).
Mr. Timotheatos holds a Graduate Diploma in public accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from McGill University. He is an experienced finance professional with a versatile financial and operational background.
Vice President of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Tim Guion is the lead on all product launch activities and marketing initiatives. Mr. Guion first joined Lumenpulse as Senior Application Engineer in 2013. He promptly became Regional Sales Manager, and then Director of Sales, Western United States. With more than 25 years of sales experience in the lighting industry, Tim also has backgrounds in system design, programming, training, and business development in North America and Europe. Prior to Lumenpulse, Tim spent 12 years at Electronic Theatre Controls, holding various roles before becoming Regional Manager in the Western United States. Tim has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design (Theatre) from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and has held his Lighting Certified (LC) credential since 2016.
Vice President of Sales, United States
John Melillo is the Vice President of Sales, United States, and is tasked with overseeing all sales strategies and activities in the United States. John strives to provide enhanced customer experience while building strong relationships with stakeholders and fulfilling Lumenpulse's sales strategy. With close to 20 years of industry experience, he brings a seasoned understanding and a heightened ability to motivate and lead with initiative, drive, and enthusiasm. Since joining Lumenpulse in May 2010 as Director of Sales, United States East, he has been a critical contributor to Lumenpulse's success in the American market. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, John served as Regional Sales Manager for Philips Color Kinetics. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Connecticut College.
Vice President of Sales, Canada and International
Patrick Robitaille is the Vice President, Canada and International Sales for Lumenpulse. With over 15 years of experience in the lighting industry Patrick brings a wealth of technical knowledge, creativity, strategic business development, and leadership to this role.
Prior to this role, Patrick held several sales and marketing related positions at Luxtec, including Sales Representative, Sales Operation Director and General Manager. Luxtec, a subsidiary and representative agent of Lumenpulse which, under Patrick's management, became one of the most successful specification grade lighting agencies in Canada.
Senior Director of Product Development
As Senior Director of Product Development, Amélie leads all Product Development efforts and initiatives for Lumenpulse products. Since joining the Lumenpulse family in 2005, she has held various roles within the organization, including, Product Designer, Global Product Manager, and Photometric Application Technician. She has her finger on the "pulse" of Lumenpulse and knows the inner and outer workings of both the company and the industry at large. Amélie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from the University of Montreal and a Certificate in Business Management from the HEC, Montreal.
Senior Director of Product Management
Ken Bruns is the Senior Director of Product Management, responsible for developing and maintaining Lumenpulse's global product strategy. Ken works closely with Lumenpulse's engineering and design teams to define the product vision to deliver award-winning products to the market. Ken has a long-standing career in the lighting industry. Before coming to Lumenpulse as Product Manager, he held positions as a Lighting Technician in theater before moving into the manufacturing aspect of the industry as a Global Product Marketing Manager and an Applications Engineering Project Manager with Philips Color Kinetics. Ken graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theater/Theater Design and Technology.
Senior Director of Sales Operations
As Senior Director of Sales Operations, Mr. Aylward manages support functions essential to sales operations. In addition, Mr. Aylward also acts as customer service lead, improving programs, tools, and processes to serve all clients better. Having started with Lumenpulse in 2011, Joe Aylward has continuously grown with the company and has held positions from Inside Sales Representative to Director of Sales Operations. Mr. Aylward graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
Senior Director of Technical Solutions
Joshua Baker is the Senior Director of Technical Solutions on Lumenpulse's Customer Experience team and oversees all technical operations, from pre-project design through post sales services and warranty support. Before joining Lumenpulse in 2011, Josh Baker worked in the lighting industry as an Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager for Barbizon Lighting Company. During his tenure at Lumenpulse, Mr. Baker has acted as the Director of Post-Sales Service until becoming the Senior Director of Technical Solutions. Mr. Baker has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from Boston University and a Management of Technology Master of Science Degree from New York University.
