Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer
François-Xavier Souvay is the founder and the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumenpulse. In this capacity, he oversees global vision, corporate development and strategic planning, maintaining Lumenpulse’s reputation for innovation and customer experience excellence.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mr. Souvay has over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry. By age 23, he was already contributing to large commercial real estate projects in Montreal, and soon was recruited by a specification grade outdoor lighting company, where he established a network of agents and VARs in Canada and the United States. Leveraging this experience, he then acted as a consultant for various lighting companies across North America.
In 1999, he acquired Luxtec, a value-added reseller of diversified specification-grade lighting solutions, and was soon spearheading LED research and development. Focused on combining innovative technology expertise with strong industrial design, he founded Lumenpulse in 2006. The company has since established itself as the leading pure-play specification-grade LED lighting solution provider.
Mr. Souvay holds numerous patents in his name and is a well-known thought leader in the LED lighting industry. In 2011, he was a Québec finalist for Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year”.
Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
Robert Comeau is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience. He is reputed for his solid background in financial planning and reporting, treasury and financing, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and information systems.
During his career, Mr. Comeau has been CFO of both public and private companies. Among them were Emergis Inc. and Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. He also worked at Nortel Networks, where he was VP of Finance for various divisions, and was notably CFO for an international joint venture with Matra. In addition, Mr. Comeau served as CEO of Media5 Corporation, a company that develops Voice Over IP software and hardware.
Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
Nicolas Vanasse joined Lumenpulse as its Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in November 2013. He has over 14 years of business experience, including practising law and managing a legal team, as well as analyzing, structuring, negotiating and closing sophisticated commercial and corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Lumenpulse, Mr. Vanasse was Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Enerkem Inc., a waste-to-biofuels and renewable chemicals company; and for Aveos Fleet Performance Inc., an international aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider. Mr. Vanasse previously practised law in the Business Law Group of Stikeman Elliott LLP, one of Canada’s largest business law firms, where he developed extensive knowledge of sophisticated financing and M&A transactions involving large national and multi-national corporations. His practice at Stikeman Elliott LLP focused on counselling public and private companies, investors and investment banks. Mr. Vanasse holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil law from the University of Ottawa and he also studied political science and industrial relations at Laval University. In 2010, he won the Tomorrow’s Leader Award at the Québec General Counsel Awards.
Senior Vice-President, Product Development
Yvan Hamel is Senior Vice President, Product Development at Lumenpulse. In this role, he oversees the management of the product development program, product design, mechanical and optical engineering with a view of testing and improving the full Lumenpulse line of products.
Mr. Hamel has over 25 years of experience in design and product development in the lighting industry, and management of large-scale projects. This experience enables him to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers and technicians, as well as supervise research and development projects. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, he was Operations Manager at Lumec-Schreder and Senior Project Manager in Product Development at Lumec.
Senior Vice-President, Manufacturing Operations
Jean Clermont oversees manufacturing, logistics and the Company’s supply chain. He has over 28 years of experience in leading supply chain operations. He has expertise in negotiations, demand planning, sales and operations, logistics, project management, process enhancement and systems integration.
Previously, he was Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. where he was responsible for carving out the supply chain activities related to the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Air Canada devices, implementing inventory solutions, and creating distribution centers for Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Central America. Before Aveos, Mr. Clermont was Director of Global Optical Supply Chain Operations at Nortel Networks, a company he was with for 23 years. Mr. Clermont holds an MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke as well as a certificate in Operations Management from HEC Montreal.
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Greg Campbell oversees technology innovation, intellectual property portfolio management and collaboration with the company’s product development team. Previously, Mr. Campbell helped manage the product development roadmap and innovation strategy in his role as Electrical Engineering Manager at Philips Color Kinetics.
Prior to joining Philips Color Kinetics, he served as an embedded systems engineer at BNS, where he focused on bringing intelligent solutions and innovative products to market. Mr. Campbell is the author of a number of patents related to solid state lighting technology innovation. Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Senior Vice President, Sales Americas
Brandon M. Siemion serves as Senior Vice President, Sales Americas at Lumenpulse. He is responsible for business development, developing the Lumenpulse brand and expanding the Company’s footprint in the Americas. Mr. Siemion leads a customer-focused team in delivering a superior experience for customers and manufacturing representatives.
Mr. Siemion brings over 20 years of experience to the role, including expertise in the LED lighting marketplace. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, he had an 11-year career in senior level positions at Philips Color Kinetics, where he held the position of Director of Business Development, and he also served as Director of Sales.
Senior Vice President, Sales International
Philip O’Donnell is Senior Vice President of Sales International at Lumenpulse. He is an industry veteran with over 35 years of senior-level sales and leadership experience, and he has worked extensively throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Mr. O’Donnell joined Color Kinetics in 2005, serving as Vice President of Sales until the company was acquired by Koninklijke Philips N.V. Subsequently, he continued in a global role at Philips, overseeing complex turnkey solutions throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East and Japan. Formerly, Mr. O’Donnell was CEO of Strand Lighting. He holds a BFA in Technical Design from New York University and he attended Graduate School at Yale University.
Vice President, Investor Relations
Yvon Roy is a Chartered Professional Accountant responsible for the financial administration at Lumenpulse. Mr. Roy brings over 14 years of financial control experience to his role. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, he served as Vice President of Finance at ProDrive Systems, where he spent nearly six years.
Previously, he was Corporate Controller at Actional Corporation, a Silicon Valley venture-funded software company (now Progress Software). He has also held senior positions at KPMG LLP in the corporate tax department and at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he was involved in financial advisory services. Mr. Roy holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce in Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montreal (UQAM), and a Graduate Diploma in accounting from HEC Montreal.
Senior Vice-President, Human Resources
Julie Lamontagne is responsible for Lumenpulse’s global strategic human resources activities, including talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, human resources policies and governance, and global executive compensation. She brings over 15 years of experience in her field to the role.
Ms. Lamontagne was previously a Senior HR Business Partner with Bell Canada, where she spent five years. Prior to Bell, Ms. Lamontagne spent three years as HR Director for Brookfield Lepage Johnson Controls. She has also held HR Consultant positions with Ceridian Canada and SIBN (a subsidiary of National Bank). Ms. Lamontagne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Montreal and a CRHA professional designation with l’Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés.
Senior Vice-President, Marketing
Jesse Lilley leads Lumenpulse’s global marketing strategy. Responsible for marketing the Company’s expanding product portfolio, Mr. Lilley leads advertising, communications, branding, events and training activities.
In 2008, Mr. Lilley established Marketburo, a consultancy firm specialized in promoting clients within the lighting, architecture and design sectors. Previously, he spent seven years with Martin Professional, progressing to a senior marketing management role. He has contributed to industry magazines and journals such as Professional Lighting Design, Lighting (UK) and Lighting and Sound International. He has also spoken at industry events, including the Professional Lighting Design Convention (PLDC). Currently based in Montreal, Québec, he has lived and worked in England, France, Italy and Denmark and he holds a Master’s degree from Cambridge University.
Senior Vice President, Sales Operations
Philippe Racine is Senior Vice President, Sales Operations at Lumenpulse, where he is responsible for all global inside sales and application engineering.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the lighting industry, Mr. Racine brings knowledge and leadership in the fields of specification and manufacturing. He is actively involved in product and business development, as well as the continued expansion and performance of the inside sales channel and team.
