Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer
François-Xavier Souvay is the founder and the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumenpulse. In this capacity, he oversees global vision, corporate development and strategic planning, maintaining Lumenpulse’s reputation for innovation and customer experience excellence.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mr. Souvay has over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry. By age 23, he was already contributing to large commercial real estate projects in Montreal, and soon was recruited by a specification grade outdoor lighting company, where he established a network of agents and VARs in Canada and the United States. Leveraging this experience, he then acted as a consultant for various lighting companies across North America.
In 1999, he acquired Luxtec, a value-added reseller of diversified specification-grade lighting solutions, and was soon spearheading LED research and development. Focused on combining innovative technology expertise with strong industrial design, he founded Lumenpulse in 2006. The company has since established itself as the leading pure-play specification-grade LED lighting solution provider.
Mr. Souvay holds numerous patents in his name and is a well-known thought leader in the LED lighting industry. He is an EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 award recipient in Quebec.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Peter Timotheatos is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lumenpulse. He is an experienced finance professional with a versatile financial and operational background. In addition to his role in managing the Company’s overall finances and its information technology services, he provides strategic operational support and is responsible for merger and acquisition activities.
Mr. Timotheatos brings over 20 years of experience to the role with a strong background in corporate finance. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, Mr. Timotheatos was the Chief Financial Officer of Centre Agricole JLD Inc., an independent John Deere dealership group. Additionally, he served as Director, Corporate Development and Planning from 2008 to 2010, then as Vice President, Finance until 2011 and as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer until 2012 at Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. and as Chief Financial Officer at BCE Elix (a Bell Canada Company) from 2004 to 2007. In addition to his CPA, CA designation, he also holds Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations.
Mr. Timotheatos holds a Graduate Diploma in public accounting and a Bachelor’s of Commerce in accounting from McGill University. He previously held the role of Senior Vice President Financial Planning, Analysis and Results at Lumenpulse, managing the Company’s Financial Planning & Analysis group and the Results & Control organization.
Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
Nicolas Vanasse joined Lumenpulse as its Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in November 2013. He has over 15 years of business experience, including practising law and managing a legal team, as well as analyzing, structuring, negotiating and closing sophisticated commercial and corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Lumenpulse, Mr. Vanasse was Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Enerkem Inc., a waste-to-biofuels and renewable chemicals company; and for Aveos Fleet Performance Inc., an international aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider. Mr. Vanasse previously practised law in the Business Law Group of Stikeman Elliott LLP, one of Canada’s largest business law firms, where he developed extensive knowledge of sophisticated financing and M&A transactions involving large national and multi-national corporations. His practice at Stikeman Elliott LLP focused on counselling public and private companies, investors and investment banks.
Mr. Vanasse holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil law from the University of Ottawa and he also studied political science and industrial relations at Laval University. In 2010, he won the Tomorrow’s Leader Award at the Québec General Counsel Awards. In 2014, he was finalist in the category “Legal Advisor, Small to Medium Sized Legal Department” of the ZSA Awards for the Quebec Legal Counsels.
Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer
Yvan Hamel is Senior Vice President, Product Development at Lumenpulse. In this role, he oversees the management of the product development program, product design, mechanical and optical engineering with a view of testing and improving the full Lumenpulse line of products.
Mr. Hamel has over 25 years of experience in design and product development in the lighting industry, and management of large-scale projects. This experience enables him to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers and technicians, as well as supervise research and development projects. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, he was Operations Manager at Lumec-Schreder and Senior Project Manager in Product Development at Lumec.
Senior Vice President Engineering and Chief Technology Officer
Greg Campbell oversees technology innovation, intellectual property portfolio management and collaboration with the company’s product development team. Previously, Mr. Campbell helped manage the product development roadmap and innovation strategy in his role as Electrical Engineering Manager at Philips Color Kinetics.
Prior to joining Philips Color Kinetics, he served as an embedded systems engineer at BNS, where he focused on bringing intelligent solutions and innovative products to market. Mr. Campbell is the author of a number of patents related to solid state lighting technology innovation.
Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Operations
Jean Clermont oversees manufacturing, logistics and the Company’s supply chain. He has over 28 years of experience in leading supply chain operations. He has expertise in negotiations, demand planning, sales and operations, logistics, project management, process enhancement and systems integration.
Previously, he was Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. where he was responsible for carving out the supply chain activities related to the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Air Canada devices, implementing inventory solutions, and creating distribution centers for Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Central America. Before Aveos, Mr. Clermont was Director of Global Optical Supply Chain Operations at Nortel Networks, a company he was with for 23 years.
Mr. Clermont holds an MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke as well as a certificate in Operations Management from HEC Montreal.
Senior Vice President, Sales Americas
Brandon M. Siemion serves as Senior Vice President, Sales Americas at Lumenpulse. He is responsible for business development, developing the Lumenpulse brand and expanding the Company’s footprint in the Americas. Mr. Siemion leads a customer-focused team in delivering a superior experience for customers and manufacturing representatives.
Mr. Siemion brings over 20 years of experience to the role, including expertise in the LED lighting marketplace. Prior to joining Lumenpulse, he had an 11-year career in senior level positions at Philips Color Kinetics, where he held the position of Director of Business Development, and he also served as Director of Sales.
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing EMEA
Jesse Lilley is the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing EMEA. Responsible for the Company’s expanding product portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Mr. Lilley leads advertising, communications, branding, events and training activities.
In 2008, Mr. Lilley established Marketburo, a consultancy firm specialized in promoting clients within the lighting, architecture and design sectors. Previously, he spent seven years with Martin Professional, progressing to a senior marketing management role. He has over the years contributed to numerous lighting and architectural magazines and journals and spoken at a wide range of industry events.
Mr. Lilley has lived and worked in Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Montreal, Canada. He holds a Master’s degree from Cambridge University.
President of Fluxwerx Illumination Inc.
Tim Berman is the President of Fluxwerx Illumination Inc., which he co-founded in 2011 and which became part of the Lumenpulse family in 2016. Mr. Berman combines solid business experience, technical and leadership abilities in this role, focusing on product innovation and development, with over 30 years of experience in the lighting industry. Prior to founding Fluxwerx, Mr. Berman was part of the Philips North America executive management team and president and general manager of Philips Ledalite, a division of Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG) for over 10 years and has held various other management positions at Philips.
Prior to his time at Philips, Mr. Berman was a member of the executive management team at Genlyte Group. Mr. Berman holds numerous patents in his name and co-founded two representative agencies in the lighting field based in British Columbia. He is a graduate of University of British Columbia’s faculty of commerce and business administration holding a diploma in Marketing and Sales Management. Mr. Berman was named one of Business in Vancouver’s “Forty under 40” in 2003.
Vice President, Sales & Marketing of Fluxwerx Illumination Inc.
Lance Howitt is the Vice President, Sales & Marketing of Fluxwerx Illumination Inc., which he co-founded in 2011 and which became part of the Lumenpulse family in 2016. Mr. Howitt is responsible for the sales and service teams at Fluxwerx, as well the creative direction and development of the company’s marketing efforts, including brand strategy, new product design requirements, oversight of all design related to print, website and online configuration tools.
Mr. Howitt has over 25 years of experience in the lighting industry, holds several patents, and has developed deeply entrenched relationships with both the specification community and agency salesforce across North America. Prior to founding Fluxwerx, he held various management positions at Philips Ledalite including leadership of sales, marketing and applications engineering. Prior to his time at Philips, Mr. Howitt was president and managing principal of one of Canada’s largest representative sales agencies based in Vancouver, BC. He has been the lead sponsor of the Vancouver League for Studies in Architecture, as well as a judge of the International Illumination Design Awards.
Vice President, Design of Fluxwerx Illumination Inc.
Scott Santoro is the Vice President, Design of Fluxwerx Illumination Inc., which he co-founded in 2011 and which became part of the Lumenpulse family in 2016. Over the years, Mr. Santoro has developed a recognized expertise in optical innovation, architecture and design in the lighting industry. As head of product design at Fluxwerx, Mr. Santoro synthesizes performance lighting criteria with material choices and industrial design to create innovative product solutions.
Prior to his time at Fluxwerx, Mr. Santoro was the head of various research, optical and industrial design teams at Philips Ledalite for 15 years. He holds several registered patents for optical and luminaire designs, and his products have won a number of technical innovation and international design awards, including Red Dot and iF awards. Mr. Santoro is a graduate of the lighting program at the University of Colorado and holds an Undergraduate and Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
Managing Director, Exenia
Dario Nistri is the Managing Director of Exenia. Founded in 2010, Exenia is an Italian brand that joined the Lumenpulse group in December 2015.
As Managing Director, Mr. Nisri supervises and manages all Exenia production activities, from product design to market positioning, including continuous product development and refinement.
Mr. Nistri lives and works in Italy, where he obtained a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Florence. Immediately following his studies, he chose to continue his family’s long tradition in the lighting industry, and now boasts nearly two decades of management experience in the sector.
Mr. Nistri’s influence and foresight have seen him adopt key leadership roles in the companies with which he has worked, and Exenia is the result of his passion and hard work.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Julie Lamontagne is responsible for Lumenpulse’s global strategic human resources activities, including talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, human resources policies and governance, and global executive compensation. She brings over 15 years of experience in her field to the role.
Ms. Lamontagne was previously a Senior HR Business Partner with Bell Canada, where she spent five years. Prior to Bell, Ms. Lamontagne spent three years as HR Director for Brookfield Lepage Johnson Controls. She has also held HR Consultant positions with Ceridian Canada and SIBN (a subsidiary of National Bank).
Ms. Lamontagne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Montreal and a CRHA professional designation with l’Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés.
