Lumenpulse lights exhibition on landscape architecture
Four different Lumenpulse product families used to illuminate gardens at AAPQ event
Montreal, Quebec
April 13, 2015 - Product
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Association of Landscape Architects of Quebec (AAPQ), Lumenpulse recently provided a range of outdoor LED luminaires for the association’s first exhibition of landscape architecture: “Jardins sur mesure.”
The exhibition’s goal was to highlight the multi-disciplinary nature of landscape architecture, which is at the crossroads of urban development, design and horticulture. Six custom gardens, focused on a theme relevant to the discipline, were lit by a range of Lumenpulse luminaires, including the Lumenfacade, Lumencove, Lumendome and Lumenbeam families.
The gardens were designed by the following landscape architects:
- “Draw me a root!” - Valériane Noël and Félix Parent-Sirard
- “Who eats who?” - Olivier Philippe
- “Three two-tone colors!” - Gilles Marin
- "Let it be" - Atelier MAP
- “Lull” - Patricia Boucher
- “Picnic” - Valéry Simard
Landscape architecture is in the global spotlight this year, as the United Nations named 2015 the UN International Year of Soils, a designation that aims to raise awareness on the importance of soils, food security and the ecosystem.
The AAPQ exhibition ran from April 1-10th, 2015 at the Complex Desjardins in downtown Montreal. For more information, please visit the AAPQ website.
