François-Xavier Souvay

Mr. François-Xavier Souvay is a seasoned entrepreneur with proven track record of more than 20 years in the lighting industry. He acquired Luxtec Lighting Group Inc. in 1999 and quickly transformed Luxtec into a leader in the commercial architectural lighting market, providing integrated lighting solutions for commercial, institutional, and urban environments.

Mr. Souvay has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Lumenpulse since its inception in 2006.  As CEO of an innovative architectural lighting company, Mr. Souvay is overseeing the global  vision and strategic plan of the company leading product innovation and sustainable designs.
Mr. Souvay is driven by the challenge of transforming the world of lighting with cutting-edge sustainable LED technology.

William J. Sims
Board Member

Mr. William J. Sims is a proven leader with 30 years of experience growing both emerging and established companies, including the successful commercialization of breakthrough technologies within numerous consumer and B2B industries.

He currently serves as President, CEO and board member of Joule Unlimited, Inc., a transformational developer of renewable fuels and chemicals, where he oversees the company's management, execution and strategic direction.

Prior to Joule Mr. Sims served as President, CEO and board member of Color Kinetics, the company largely credited for pioneering the LED illumination space, which is now considered to be the future of intelligent, energy-efficient lighting. In his seven-year tenure he guided the company to profitability and oversaw its successful IPO, secondary offering and eventual sale to Philips for $800 million in 2007.

In the consumer electronics space, Mr. Sims led multiple groups within JVC to market and product line expansion, and led Zenith Sales Company’s overhaul and ultimate sale to LG Electronics. He also achieved success in the software industry leading a division of e-SIM, a provider of advanced simulation technologies for cutting-edge consumer applications.

Mr. Sims has served on the boards of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). He holds a BA in Biological Sciences from California State University, Fullerton.

Nicolas Bélanger
Board Member

Mr. Nicolas Bélanger is a natural leader and an ambitious entrepreneur. In 1995, he co-founded DTI Software. Under his guidance as President, DTI has become a world leader in the In-Flight Entertainment industry, serving over 105 international airline customers and was successfully sold to a publicly traded German group in January 2008. In 2007, DTI was ranked in The Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM recognizing the 50 fastest growing tech companies with the highest percentage revenue growth over five years.

Since 2002, Nicolas Bélanger has been managing Group W Inc, a privately held growth and buyout investment fund, which he co-founded with his business partner. Through W Inc, Mr. Bélanger has lead over 20 investments and is an active board member for many of them.

In 2007, Mr. Bélanger received of the prestigious recognition ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Ernst & Young.
